The REACH clinical crew, as evidenced by meeting CAMTS accreditation and by numerous patient testaments, is
highly trained in emergency and critical care. We at REACH treat every patient transport as the most important transport we have ever performed.
Our clinical staff of Flight Nurses, Flight Paramedics and Respiratory
Therapists join REACH with extensive experience within their specialty area. The Flight Nurses function under an advanced scope of practice, meaning they can perform some interventions typ ically reserved for physician practice.
Our nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and physicians, undergo
thorough clinical rotations, internal clinics and continuing education.
REACH has established several areas of clinical specialty services. Our teams perform the care and transport of
neonatal, pediatric, high- risk obstetric and spinal cord injured patients requiring in-line cervical traction. When needed, physicians are added to the team to enhance the care and transport
of these specialty patients.
Pediatric Specialty
The REACH medical crew specializes in the transport of critically ill and injured pediatric patients and is
recognized as the preferred pediatric provider of major bay area Pediatric Intensive Care Units.
REACH has provided rapid assessment, intervention and safe transport of thousands of critically ill and injured children since 1993.

Neonatal Capability
REACH has collaborated extensively with neonatal
intensive care specialists to transport neonates by both rotor and fixed wing aircraft. This capability has enhanced the care and transport of this unique patient population by
reducing response and transport times.
Dependent on the neonate’s needs, and in consult with the neonatal specialists, REACH either provides aviation and medical equipment support to tertiary level Neonatal
Intensive Care Specialty Transport Teams or provides direct patient care and transport by specially trained REACH clinical staff.
We are proud to participate with Neonatal Intensive Care Specialists to offer a wide spectrum of both aviation and clinical services to the smallest of our patients
We do more than transport. Equally, and at times more important, are the initial assessment and stabilization the REACH critical care staff provided before transport.
